Yum!! Deelish Persian food! Love that this is a small family owned restaurant, I totally support that. It's located in a small strip mall off of Almaden Expressway, just past Foxworthy. Order up at the counter, food is brought to your table when ready.
We ordered hummus, #6, and #7
Hummus- smooth, creamy and served with lavash bread cut up into small squares, butter, and plenty of fresh mint
#6 Beef kebob plate- two skewers of flavorful, juicy ground beef. Served with a generous amount of basmati rice, and a grilled tomato. The rice was nice and fluffy and the two skewers were more than enough. My tummy was happy and full.
I always like things a little spicy and when the owner(?) came and checked on us, I asked if they had any spicy condiment . She came back with some chili oil and samples of their yogurt-cucumber salad and shirazi salad free of charge!
#7 Chicken kebob plate- you have a choice of thigh or breast. Preference is always thigh or dark meat, less dry. Chicken was tender and juicy. This plate comes with one chicken skewer, basmati rice, and grilled tomato.
The three of us finished off our plates and look forward to trying another dish here in the future! Thank you for your friendly service and delicious food -

So, I was at home, binge-watching Netflix...didn't wanna cook; so I tried the delivery option.
Based off Elite Yelper, Fred T's review, of Real Kabob's Persian Restaurant, I had to try the Beef Kabob Wrap.
I placed my order at 6:50pm. Not sure what happened but at 8:00 something told me to look outside. I looked outside and the order was on the porch. Not sure when it came but I didn't hear a doorbell and didn't get a phone call.
When I touched it, it was cool--don't know if it was supposed to be hot or not...but, it smelled delicious. It came with a sauce/-cucumber cream sauce--which was lovely.
The wrap was very tasty and enjoyable. Fred T. Your review was great. I will definitely order from here again, but I think I will try it at the restaurant. -

Friends of ours catered from Real Kabob for their dinner party and everybody liked the food!
My favorite was both the chicken kebab and the ground beef one! Very flavorful, cooked to perfection, and juicy. I was really surprised because I'm not the biggest fan of kebab to begin with, but especially not of ground beef and I still loved it!
I look forward to going in person to check this place out! -

Ate here for lunch with a friend who was craving Persian food. It was such a great find, well, not literally because we did have some trouble finding the restaurant - but you know what I mean. It was definitely a hole in wall kind of place, located in somewhat deserted plaza off Almaden expressway. The location had lot of parking spaces, but the only problem was the spaces were made very small, making it a bit difficult for a small sedan to back out. I can imagine how frustrating it can be to park if the place was crowded, which luckily it wasn't for us that day.
The restaurant was clean and small. It has up to 5 small tables, so probably not a good place for groups, it will do if you are coming for a quick bite to eat and take-outs. Once you enter there a place for you to order, there are also pictures of all the dishes on the wall, which is great for those who like no surprises when their food comes out. This place is mainly self served. There is a water dispenser next to the napkins and utensil and below it you will find the take out boxes for those who dine in and later decide they want to box their food. Took me a while to find it, if you can't find it just ask and they will direct you!
The food was great! I loved how juicy the beef was and they were pretty generous with the portions. Had less chicken than I would have liked but the chicken tasted just as delicious - not dry at all. Rice was my favorite, would have asked more if I knew it was this great, not too dry or too soggy, cooked to perfection and had bit of flavor to it too. Would definitely recommend. -

I have been ordering kubideh and chicken kabob for years from this place and it's been always the best in San Jose until last week. I made the same order and the food was a huge disappointment. The kubideh was smaller in size than usual and it tasted terrible. It had a weird texture and my guess is that they're adding more flour to the meat mixture than the normal amount. As for the chicken, it did not have the same marination it used to have and it was rock solid. Huge disappointment to be honest!
